01What this extension does

LinkedIn Post Formatter adds a small floating toolbar that appears when you select text inside a LinkedIn post, comment, or article editor. It lets you apply bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and other Unicode text styles to your selection, and insert emoji through a built-in picker.

02What data it collects

None. The extension does not read, log, or transmit the content you write, your LinkedIn account information, browsing history, or any other personal data. All text styling happens entirely inside your browser, on the page you're already viewing.

03What it stores locally

The only thing saved is a short list of emoji you've recently used in the picker, so they appear in a "recent" section next time. This is stored using Chrome's local storage API, stays on your device, and is never sent anywhere.

Not stored: post or comment text, drafts, contacts, profile data, or anything else you type.

04Permissions it requests

Host access to linkedin.com — required so the toolbar can appear inside LinkedIn's editors. The extension does not run on, or request access to, any other site.
Storage — required only for the recent-emoji list described above.

05Third parties

There are none. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and makes no network requests of any kind.

06Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be reflected here with a new effective date, and in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
